Impact of not doing: Current practice with CLIOS (external EDI) blocks any SKU that is out of stock so the customers will know if the SKU is out of stock by not having that SKU available to order. With MARLO Int'l, the portal accepts orders even though the inventory has insufficient quantity to deliver on time in full. The notification will support the customers whose orders are delayed for delivery due to out of stock issue, so they can place search alternatives to meet their patients needs.
Without this notification, customers may not notice there is any delayed orders and end up not having the stock they may promised to their patients.
Frequency of Out of Stock: Almost everyday there are multiple SKUs that are out of stock. There are more risks or Our of Stock on Trial lens, thus B2B are at higher chance to have their orders getting backordered.
