1. Context & Problem Statement
Today, MARLO invoices (Italy B2B2C model) are:
Not available within MARLO directly
Generated in Marlo backend
Distributed via PDF and email
This creates key limitations:
No system-to-system integration possible
High manual effort for reconciliation and accounting
PDF format not usable for ECPs - ERP ingestion
As a result, medium to large ECP customers cannot integrate MARLO transactions into their financial systems.
  1. Opportunity unlocked
If addressed, this capability would:
  • Unlock mid-to-large ECP chains (multi-door customers)
  • Enable seamless ERP integration
  • Reduce operational friction
  • Strengthen MARLO positioning as a platform, not just a tool
  1. User Story
As an ECP, I want to access my MARLO invoices in a structured format (XML / API / export)
So that I can automatically integrate them into my ERP/accounting system (e.g., Blue Data)
Without manual processing of PDF invoices.
  1. Non-Functional Considerations
Compliance with local invoicing regulations (Italy SDI for instance)
Data privacy (no sensitive patient data exposure)
Scalability to other markets
  1. Proposed Approach (just some thoughts)
Short-term:
Enable structured export from MARLO to provide XML batch export (manual or scheduled) to be shared to customers
Mid-Long-term:
Consider a solution to that could be managed via API for future integration
