Hi Misayo Hara, I will take care of this one.
1) This is for kana last and first names only, correct?
2) You say it's not correct in Japanese, therefore, this should not appear on the Patient side neither

1) It's the LN/FN field (not the Kana ones).
2) Correct. It should not appear on the patient portal either.

Misayo Hara 1) ok, just to be 100% clear, kana would also be separated by a comma, it's ok then? Cause otherwise it is actually quite standard to have a comma between a non last and first name. I thought the comma between kana names was not something common in JP 2) cool thanks

Kind reminder Misayo Hara

Currently the KANA last / first name (in brackets) does not have any comma between them. This is correct pattern.
Also for the last name / first name which I highligted in yellow should NOT have any comma in between.
Bottomline, in Japan there should not be any comma between last and first names. The order of names should be [last name][space][first name].

Misayo Hara: thanks, I think this will not be needed when we do that: https://myalconstore.canny.io/marlo-international-market-requirements/p/sort-with-last-names-in-japanese-kana. Do you agree? I don't want to remove the comma between non Kana last and first name for this reason + this is a standard structure in all other markets.

Tian Marchand this requst does not need to align the timing as the sorting option.
I understand the other part of the world requires comma between last & first names. Please put this in backlog and tackle whenever there is some extra resources.

Misayo Hara: I meant that when sorting by Last Kana names is implemented, I don't see the need to remove the coma between non kana last and first name as Kana names are commonly used, and they will likely not use non Kana names to search for patients.

Tian Marchand It is not really a functional, but is a cosmetic issue. If names in Japan is written with comma in between, the website looks like unfinished and unprofessional.
Japanese names always write in the order of Last Name then First Name without comma. There is no such case that names appear in reverse order like Western names.
